Davisson Brothers Band Release New Single “Unbreak You”

THE DAVISSON BROTHERS BAND Follow Grand Ole Opry Debut With Redemptive “UNBREAK YOU” (May 3)

Gospel-Inflected Slow Burner Offers First Taste of Upcoming Album Project

Summer Full of Tour Dates Build on International Success of “Po’ Boyz”

Nashville, Tenn. (May 1, 2019) – West Virginia country rockers THE DAVISSON BROTHERS BAND are striking while the iron is hot with their new single, “UNBREAK YOU.” They’re returning Friday (May 3) with a Gospel-inflected blast of romantic redemption just as their career heats up.

Releasing to digital retailers worldwide and also Australian country radio, the slow-burning ballad is filled with soul-stirring blood harmonies and timeless sonics, as the foursome deliver a country-music response to the old adage “If you love something, set it free.”

Pre-order “UNBREAK YOU” Here.

Co-written by the band’s Chris Davisson with Daniel Smalley and James LeBlanc, “UNBREAK YOU” follows the band’s Grand Ole Opry debut in February and the international success of previous single, “Po Boyz,” serving as the first taste of a brand new recording project.

The group is comprised of real-life siblings Chris (guitars) and Donnie Davisson (vocals), plus bass player Rus Reppert and drummer Aaron Regester, breaking out in 2009 with their self-titled album debut and a sound rooted in the acoustic traditions of their Appalachian home – but also featuring a smooth pour of crowd-pleasing Southern-rock energy.

After building a dedicated grass-roots following on concert tours all around the nation, the 2018 album Fighter arrived to wide-spread acclaim last May, produced by Grammy-award winner Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) and earning the band accolades from outlets like Rolling Stone and The Boot.

Peaking at #3 on Billboard’s US Heatseekers Chart, it included the scrappy small-town pride anthem, “Po’ Boyz,” which became a digital hit in Australia – peaking at #2 on the Australian National Radio Airplay Chart and #1 on CMC video channel, which led the band to the coveted CMC Rocks festival stage the same year. Their single “Get Down South” also reached Top 15 at Australian radio. The Davisson Brothers Band continues to tour relentlessly and can be found on the road all summer long, with concert dates scheduled through late September and a Carnival Cruise set for November 16-17.

The band has also announced new summer tour dates throughout Australia. They will be headlining shows in Melbourne at Croxton Bandroom on July 23 and Factory Theatre in Sydney on July 25. They will also perform on the Gold Coast as part of the Groundwater Country Music Festival on July 26 and July 27.

ABOUT THE DAVISSON BROTHERS BAND:
Founded in Clarksburg, West Virginia, The Davisson Brothers Band is a contemporary country foursome featuring real life siblings Donnie Davisson (vocals) and Chris Davisson (guitars), plus bass player Rus Reppert and drummer Aaron Regester. Featuring an authentic country sound rooted in time-honored Appalachian tradition and infused with smooth Southern-rock energy, the band made their Top 40 Billboard Country Album debut in 2009 with the self-titled Davisson Brothers Band. After establishing themselves on tour around the nation with acts like Chris Janson, plus a writing credit on the theme song to ESPN’s Baseball Tonight, the band released the reflective single “Jesse James” in 2015, which was played extensively on SiriusXM’s The Highway. Grammy winner Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) produced the band’s 2018 sophomore album, Fighter, which featured the work-hard-play-harder anthem “Po’ Boyz.” The Davisson Brothers Band was invited to perform at Australia’s CMC Rocks Festival in 2018 and made their Grand Ole Opry debut in February of 2019, continuing to rack up both miles and accolades.
